Ben Koos is a Research Analyst at OnPoint. A native of Sonoma County, Ben earned a Masters Degree in Quantitative Economics from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He is a first-rate programmer and focuses on quantitative analysis. During graduate school, Ben studied the complementary effect of product market reforms and intellectual property rights on innovation intensity. As an undergrad, he modeled the deforestation rates of rainforests in Cameroon and also modeled the economic impact of solar energy compared with coal or natural gas in Arizona. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, hiking, yoga and (most recently) bouldering.
Favorite thing about OnPoint: Complex problem solving.
