Dr. Seamus Li is an Economist with a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Colorado Boulder and has a background of diverse experience in academia, government, industry, and consulting. Seamus specializes in empirical industrial organization and applied econometrics. Prior to joining OnPoint, his academic research touched upon such topics as auctions, uncertainty, the digital economy, imperfect competition, natural resources, and the environment. As a graduate student and as assistant professor, he taught a wide range of courses including introductory and intermediate microeconomics and macroeconomics, statistics, business analytics, and game theory. He also worked as a consultant to government agencies regarding the economics of transportation and infrastructure. An avid hiker, Seamus enjoys wilderness backpacking and exploring nature.
