Dr. George Saioc is a Senior Economist at OnPoint where he focuses principally on antitrust and class action litigation. He has a special knack for voluminous multi-sourced data and complex modelling. His statistical and economic analyses cover sectors as diverse as food production, transportation, insurance, financial intermediation, pharmaceuticals, securities and derivatives. George has a special interest in cases involving the automotive industry (explained – at least partially – by his weekend hobby of track racing). His Ph.D. research included public, labor, and urban economics, assessing the impact of federal programs on the work habits of retirees and postsecondary students. In the wake of the financial crisis and real estate downturn, he conducted empirical research using private and public data to quantify the impact of state laws and linkages between owners and rental markets.
Favorite thing about OnPoint: High-stakes nature of work.
